- Dan and Marcus make the rules.
- Rule change suggestions will be considered, but refer to rule #1.
- There really are no rules.
- Except for this one. For your safety, a swim buoy is required for the swim portion. There is no water support for this event. This is just a group of friends getting together to swim, bike, and run.
- Oh and this one too, no motorized propulsion. This applies to in water and on land.
- Probably a good idea to wear a helmet on the bike portion. It is required by law so…you’re responsible for your own behavior.
- Rule #1 will be enforced at all times, unless required by law.
FAQs:
- Can I wear a wetsuit? Sure.
- Can I wear floaty pants? Sure.
- Can I pee in the water? I mean sure, the sea life does it.
- Will there be water support? Not planning on it. If you have friends that want to join us on their paddle board or kayaks, bring them. The DaM Triathlon staff and organizers will not put that much thought and effort into the event.
- How do they get the Teflon to stick to the pan? No idea, but what does that have to do with this event? yeesh.
- Do I need a road bike or triathlon bike? Absolutely not, ride the little red tricycle your grandma gave you as a kid if you’d like.
- Do I have to run fast? Who determines what’s fast? Run your pace, enjoy the time. This is a show up and do it event, with zero record of timing or completion. This is your day to do something fun with friends.
- If a normal dog sees a K-9 police dog, does it think “Oh no, it’s the cops!!” ? Probably.
